Poetry: Barren Fields

Standard

For those who are used to receiving my typical posts, you will find something different in this poetry post. This is a poem that is a part of a Poetry collection that comes from a time of my my searching days

Barren Fields

Barrven covered fields

no harvests or no yields,

comes from them,

these fields once so green

look now so obscene,

just look at them.

Why they are this way,

I can not really say,

their lives put up in hems,

cut short by thirst and sun,

their lives had just begun

til their water  turned to phlegm.

Now as they cling to dirt,

their barrenness reveals  their hurt,

no life in them.

Just a question of which day

in which they’re blown away

uprooted and blown away.
