“It’s not enough to…” (W. Edwards Deming quote)

Have you had an employee or a volunteer come to you and say “I’m doing my best”?

Have you ever had a child come to you after working on a project that you or a teacher had given them and they said, “I’m doing my best”?

If you have, you might want to consider these insightful words from W. Edwards Deming who said:  “it is not enough to do your best, you must know what to do, and THEN do your best”

The point is if we want to do a good job, we must clearly understand what it is that we are supposed to do and we must have the training to do the job well?

Be focused on what you want to accomplish and why!
