I remember reading something about a meeting that Levi Lusko had with Billy Graham. In that conversation, Billy mentioned that if he had to do it all over again, he would have preached more on the resurrection of Jesus.
I wonder why he said that?
- Maybe because he realized that more people needed to understand and avail themselves of the same power that raised Jesus from the dead (Romans 8:11 – nasb “ But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you” . )
- Maybe because Billy knew that the evidences for Jesus’ resurrection are so logical and compelling that even more people would have been prompted by the Holy Spirit to have given their lives by faith to Jesus Christ
- Maybe because He realized that it is the resurrection of Jesus Christ that sets apart the Christian faith from every other religion
It is interesting to consider what some one like Billy Graham would do different if he had the opportunity.
So, the question for us to ponder is how might we consider living our lives in light of the reality of the resurrection of Jesus Christ?
