Leaders, learn from a “champion” in college…

That’s a great cheer for a coach and his team to hear and Nick Saban and his Alabama football team have heard it now several times in the past seven years.  Nick Saban

With as much competition and player talent as there is in Division 1 college football, I’ve got to believe there is something special about the way that Nick Saban coaches and exercises his leadership that produces as many national championships as he has won.  I believe it would be wise of us to learn from him, and then apply those principles to our organizations.

With that in mind, I came across this recent article about Saban and his team’s preparations that, at least in part, reveals something of his creativity and willingness to consider innovative ideas to help his team have a competitive advantage over other teams.

Enjoy and I hope you are challenged to think beyond “what’s always been done” to “what’s never been tried”.
