Are you a small business owner, then I have a book for you to read (if you haven’t already): “REWORK” by Jason Fried and David Heinemeier Hansson.
Are you an executive in a large company, then I have a book for you to read (if you haven’t already): “REWORK” by Jason Fried and David Heinemeier Hansson.
This book gives very practical tips on business management. It offers advice, not from a theoretical point of view, but from a down and dirty, practical level. Jason and David are the founders of 37 signals, a software company and I found their perspectives to be refreshing because of their common sense views on how the business world tends to really work, as well as how business leaders can think differently with a potential for greater results (financially, as well as in establishing the health of the culture).
One challenge I had in reading this book was that they had so many great tips (over 85 of them), but because the writing was brief and engaging, I tended to zip through the book in relatively little time. The problem with reading the book quickly, I lose out (and so will you) on really thinking about their insight and considering its relevance for my (and your) organization.
So, let me encourage you to take your time reading through this book and focus on applying their insights.
You will enjoy this read–check it out!
