Here are some notes I took from the insightful book, “The Intangibles of Leadership” by Richard A. Davis, PhD
“one of the biggest errors I see leaders commit is the amount of talking they do, compared with how much listening.
-the higher you rise in your leadership journey, the more important it becomes to remember to ask questions and listen. attentively to the answers
-the more senior your leadership position, the more knowledge, you’ve probably obtained. How much of your time is spent telling others what you know versus asking people what THEY know?
-Instead of trying to portray yourself as the one with all the answers, make it your mission to learn as much as you can from others. The best way to do that is to be curious. And ask lots of question. Be a student, not a teacher.”
