Parenting is hard. On one hand, there is a tendency to over indulge them with nice things just because you love them and you want to see them happy.
On the other hand, once you start “blessing” them too much, it’s easy to see within your kids attitudes of ungratefulness or a lack of appreciation.
On top of that, you know through your own experiences that some of the most valued lessons are produced through hard work and “sweat equity”.
Again, it’s not easy and I know I haven’t figured it out. I do want to pass along a quote I came across from Warren Buffett on this subject: ” I want to give my kids just enough so that they would feel that they could do anything , but not so much that they could feel like doing nothing”.
