Poetry: Down by the Water

Standard

For those who are used to receiving my typical posts, you will find something different in this poetry post. They come from a time of my searching.

DOWN BY THE WATER

Down by the water

down by the sea

this views appealing

this view’s for me.

The ripples of the water

and the breeze against my face

makes me daydream  quietly

as my thoughts drift into space.

In this  peaceful lagoon

my mind is far away

from people in the city

and what they have to say.

I sit quietly and think

about my problems and their cause

trying to find solutions

if need be, picking straws.

So I lie content

my face caught in the breeze

my eyes look through this beauty

then gaze up in the trees.

Now my life seems more rewarding

when this calm comes over me

contentment of my soul

when my heart is near the sea.
