Pastors and church elders, is the end goal to plant more churches?


Pastors, church leader, elder, deacon, church board, as you consider your vision for your church, do you tend to dream of planting more churches?  If that’s your goal, you might want to pray and give that some more thought.

I think that this quote  from J.D. Payne gives a pretty good perspective to focus on:

“The mission of God is not about  a church-planting  movement, but rather a disciple-making movement that leads to the multiplication of new churches across a people group or population segment, resulting  in the transformation of societies… We must not only ask questions such as “how many churches were planted last year?”, but we must also ask, “how many disciples were made in the planting  of those churches, and are now obeying all that  Christ commanded?”
