Moses’ words in the Book of Exodus could not prove any more true than for us, as Christians: “For your presence among us sets your people and me apart from all other people on the earth.” (ex. 33:15b – nlt).
Christian brother and sister, beyond being people of principle, we should even more so be people of “presence”—that is, God’s presence.
It is not that there is anything good, in and of ourselves, but because of His doing, we have been reconciled to God through the shed blood of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of our sins.
Because of that restored relationship with God, we also have the privilege of having the Holy Spirit live within us. As a Christian, you are never alone, never without hope, or resources to help you in any situation.
What an awesome truth this is: “We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves. – 2 Cor. 4:7- nlt
