“before amen” – book review, Max Lucado

Standard

Why does prayer have to be so complicated? It doesn’t.

That is the conclusion from Max Lucado in this new release, “before amen”.

Prayer is a conversation with God. Although, reverence for God is a must, amazingly as Jesus taught the disciples (and us) how to pray, Jesus began his teaching by saying, pray like this: “Our Father in Heaven…” (the word “Father” is a tender word in the Greek – maybe a better way of relating the meaning of the expression is to say “Daddy”).

Amazing, huh! Almighty God wanting to show His deep care for us to such a degree that He would describe this relationship in a Daddy/child kind of way.

Read this book and to better appreciate this wonderful privilege we have of prayer with our Loving God!
