Brad Gilbert – “Winning Ugly”

Standard

Brad Gilbert was a professional tennis player in the 80’s and 90’s. He was in the Top 10 internationally for five years and rose as high as number four in the world in 1990.
It was said of him that his forehand and backhand were only okay. His serve, also, was nothing special. ( I don’t know about you, but I could say that about my whole game). But he knew how to win.
Tom Chivington, one of Brad’s former coaches, said of him, “Where Brad excels, where he is as good or better than anyone in the world, is his mental approach to the game.”
Whether you play just for fun or play in a league, this book will be a fascinating read for you. Like me, I’m sure you will pick up many pointers about this great game.
Read up now and plan on an improved game of tennis this Spring and Summer.
